u need to depend on yourself
To be honest, if u don't speak Japanese well, Meijigakuin doesn't offer you much activities or chances to participate in or experience Japanese social cultures, neither chances for camping or hiking. After u join Meijigakuin, if u wanna make ur time in Japan valuable, u need to count on yourself. But at least, Meijigakuin offers u opportunities to be an exchange student to go to other universities all over the world, and u could take this chance to go other places that u prefer. For me, i went to university of new mexico as an exchange student, and basically i participated in innumerable activities in there for every week, go for hiking, camping, shooting, riding horses, churches... The point is, if u don't speak Japanese, Meijigakuin will teach you a lesson about how to take care of urself and count on urself to find your own opportunities.
Meiji University - so normal univ
If you are international student and want to focus on your degree, not like “REAL COMMUNICATION WITH JAPANESE” I recommend global Japanese studies.this department offers you classes taught in engish. Japanese student need to take these classes too so you can come to japan and focus on your degree with beginners level of Japanese and also you can communicate Japanese students who are eager to take international chances. However, they have more international mind. If you are eager to have more JAPANESE EXPERIENCES, I recommend other departments. They allow international student, but also students are more Japanese. Some ppl speak can English , but mostly they speak Japanese. If you enroll other departments, you can take and enroll classes of global Japanese studies which is all English class.
