The online University of West Florida Behavior Science, M.S., program offers students an immersive cohort experience, providing opportunities for study with distinguished scholars and expert faculty alongside peers looking to expand research knowledge and occupational expertise.

Research-focused curriculum includes foundations, concepts, assessment, intervention, measurement, research design and experimental analysis of behavior analysis with areas of emphasis on practice in healthcare and other organizational settings. Students have the opportunity to pursue unique, funded research assistant positions with The Andrews Institute, The VirTra Simulator or in local schools.

What You Will Learn

The online Master of Science Behavior Analysis program was created for experienced individuals looking to expand their research opportunities in the field, undergraduate students interested in furthering their education or those looking to build on their expertise. With this program, you will meet the curriculum requirements to apply for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) certification, and International Behavior Analyst (IBA) certification.
By completing this degree, you will be able to:
Implement meaningful practice, based instruction based on systematic assessment and continuous evaluation, to provide the maximum benefit to all
Systematically evaluate data to make decisions in practice
Use effective written and oral communication skills to actively participate as a member of a professional community
Develop and demonstrate the ability to ethically apply behavior analysis principles to improve outcomes for individuals, including the use of evidence-based practices, continuous monitoring of intervention effectiveness, and adaptation of strategies based on data-driven decisions

Submit official transcripts confirming a bachelor’s degree from an institution whose accrediting agency is included on the list of UWF approved accrediting agencies
Official transcripts are required from any institution in which the applicant earned more than 15 credit hours
Submission of a personal statement written by the applicant that demonstrates graduate-level writing ability using APA style, experience and support in the field, and evidence of academic success. Letters will be graded by the admissions committee using a rubric
Two letters of reference, at least one preferably from a former instructor and one from a supervisor
