Overview

The Biomedicine program offered by Drexel University operates at the intersection of these two fields, and our graduates can talk to professionals in both fields. Another unique feature of our curriculum is that every MS student takes a capstone course on the commercialization of a novel biomedical technology and works with a team to develop a commercialization plan. Students also have the option of completing a virtual industry internship to build their résumé and experience. Students of all undergraduate backgrounds are welcome, as we will provide foundational coursework.

Cell and gene therapy involves a convergence of various disciplines, including biology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, engineering, and medicine. Graduate education in this field emphasizes the integration of these disciplines learned at the undergraduate level to understand the complex interactions between cells, genes, and therapeutic interventions. You will be exposed to diverse perspectives and develop a comprehensive understanding of both biological and engineering principles, which is why this degree is in conjunction with Drexel’s College of Engineering.

Submit official transcripts from all colleges (undergraduate, graduate, professional) attended. Partial transcripts should be submitted if courses are still in progress. Official transcripts must be issued directly to the GradCAS Transcript Processing Center from each institution, not to the student.
Educational Resume/Curriculum Vitae- the document should list, in chronological order, an applicant's education and work experiences, publications, honors and achievements to date and can be submitted through the GradCAS application portal.
