Applied Mathematics and Computing Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Overview

The  Applied Mathematics and Computing programme from  Manipal Academy of Higher Education  also offers many open electives in specialized areas of mathematics. Students who opt for this course will study higher mathematics with hands on lab experience (MATLAB, SageMath. Etc.) and get good exposure to research through project work. Students who have completed M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Computing are pursuing Ph.D. in reputed institutions in India and abroad, or have been placed in academia or industry. The faculty of the School of Basic Sciences, Humanities & Management focuses on a wide range of research areas, including algebra and applications, analysis, combinatorics, graph theory, number theory, numerical methods, reliability theory, algorithms, and topology, among many other specializations.

The department is well supported by the Institute placement team. The placement team is headed by Associate Director (Industrial Liaison, Placement & Practice School) and oversees the entire placement process in the institution with the help of department coordinators.
