You'll develop your employability and filmmaking skills by completing a placement during the course. Working on a real-world project, you'll build your networks and learn from industry experts. You’ll join a department of filmmakers and practice researchers. They know the ins and outs of film theory and produce feature films, documentaries and video essays. With practical training throughout the MA, you'll develop research skills and production methods for film and TV.

You should have, or expect to get, a 2:1 Honours degree. Your degree doesn't need to be in a media or film-related discipline and you don't need to have any experience in the media industry to apply.

However, you'll need excellent communication skills, with high standards of written and spoken English.
The university will look at your degree grades, personal statement, any relevant experience in the media industry, and your English Language results (if you're an international applicant).
