Overview

Students in the Materials Science and Engineering program will gain a fundamental understanding of materials structure, properties and the processing of materials and their applications in various areas of engineering. Our M.S. degree provides the foundation of all MSE activities while allowing for flexibility in individual interests at the graduate level.

Students will normally complete the degree in two full-time (15 week) academic semesters. Students interested in completing the program outside of the standard two full-time semesters should discuss this carefully with the MS program director prior to enrollment.
