Description
The McColgan Scholarship is a highly prestigious award.
The Scholarship is offered to one undergraduate student on selected courses in the School of Engineering and the School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems of the University for the duration of their course, up to a maximum of 4 years.
Benefits
The Scholarship provides £1,000 per academic year, up to a maximum of 4 years.
Eligibility
- The Scholarship is open to students who are enrolled on any of the following programmes: BSc Hons Biomedical Engineering MEng, Electronics & Embedded Technology, BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering MEng, BEng Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, BEng Renewable Energy Engineering, BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- In addition to being enrolled on one of the above programmes, to be eligible for the scholarship applicants must be currently resident in Northern Ireland, or in counties Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan or Louth, and must have achieved at least 40 UCAS points above the tariff for their selected course.

Applications for the McColgan Engineering Scholarship 2026 / 2027 will open following the end of Semester 1 in early 2027.
