For right now, life at the University of Texas at Dallas has been pretty good. I am currently a sophomore, but I spent my freshman year here, and that was nice. It's pretty diverse, which I enjoyed a lot, especially because I came from a majority-white city. wonderful and passionate faculty. good resources and events. small but tight knit community. very dead social life on the surface, but once you join a few clubs it can get very busy and lively. most grievances students have could be solved with a little more initiative to build community and find others like them!
