Horticultural Engineering
Horticulture is the most dynamic and colourful sector of agriculture. The tasks of horticultural engineers have been broadening and consist of not only cultivation and primary processing of plants but includes also management, consulting, organising activity, quality assurance, marketing and services. The Horticultural Engineering program is offered at Szent István University.
Agricultural Water Management Engineering
The Agricultural Water Management Engineering program at Szent István University aims to train professionals in agricultural water management, with a special focus on sustainable integrated water resources management. The program curricula focuses mostly on water management and engineering related subjects, with additional courses in agricultural and natural sciences, economics and legal studies.
Food Science and Technology Engineering
The aim of the Food Science and Technology Engineering programme from the Szent István University is to train food engineers who know and apply the latest scientific knowledge of the special field, and are also familiar with the various fields of natural and technical sciences.
Environmental Engineering
The aim of this Environmental Engineering program at Szent István University is to provide students with specialized knowledge of natural science, ecology, engineering, economics and management to be able to detect, assess, prevent and mitigate existing or potential environmental risks, as well as for managing restoration and reclamation projects.
Agricultural Biotechnology
The aim of the Agricultural Biotechnology programme at Szent István University is to train agricultural biotechnology engineers, who are competent in the field of biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, traditional and molecular genetics, transgenic breeding, reproduction biology and dissemination biology and familiar with the practical laboratory skills.
