Description

The EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism are administered by the Financial Mechanism Office, which is affiliated with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Secretariat in Brussels.

The Czech Republic has authorized the Ministry of Finance to act on its behalf as its National contact point. It has an overall responsibility for the implementation of the EEA/Norwegian Financial Mechanisms activities in the Czech Republic.

Eligibility

  • Either citizenship of the Czech Republic
  • or nationals of other countries provided that they are either permanent residents or are registered as stateless persons or hold refugee status in the Czech Republic
  • and studying at stated eligible institutions.
  • Matriculate in bachelor`s, master´s or doctoral study programs at accredited Czech higher educational institutions.
  • Matriculate at recognized secondary schools or higher vocational schools.
  • Age limit is 15 years.

Duration

The duration of the mobility is stated from 1 week to 6 months.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Benefits

Students are awarded a scholarship of EUR 780 per month. This sum should cover expenses for accomodation, local travel and food.

Other eligible costs are:

  • international travel
  • insurance
  • tuition/ course/ registration fee
  • study materials (max. EUR 200,-).

Application information

Students have to hand in the following documents:

  • Application form (in Czech)
  • Motivation letter (in Czech)
  • Learning Agreement - must be confirmed by the sending and the receiving institution
  • Letter of Acceptance - must be sent by the receiving institution to the applicant (by post or fax), it must contain name of the applicant, date of birth, exact period of study, field of study, stamp and signature of receiving institution. Any other relevant Letter of Acceptance can be used.

Students have to hand in all above stated documents until the deadline. Selection procedure takes about 30 days. Both applicants and their sending institutions are informed about the results.
