Description

Government scholarship programme offered together with the Fundación Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho (FUNDAYACUCHO).

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be Venezuelan citizens
  • At least a first degree is expected
  • Excellent academic achievements
  • Age limit: as a rule 38 years, no age limit for post-docs
  • Social engagement

Duration

Up to two years for Master studies, up to three years for doctoral studies. Scholarships are awarded by the DAAD for one year at a time. Applications for extensions will be reviewed by the DAAD selection committee.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test. More information

Benefits

Funding of FUNDAYACUCHO:

  • Tuition fees at universities
  • Monthly scholarship payment: 1.250.- euros as fully paid grant

Funding of DAAD:

  • A preparatory language course in Germany
  • Health, Accident, and Personal Liability Insurance
  • For studies and research an annual grant of 460.- euros for the first till third year
  • Flat-rate travel allowance for a return ticket
  • A language course for spouse in Germany
