These doctoral fellowships are earmarked for young researchers from the priority solidarity zone (ZSP).) who have studied in their native countries or in France.
Applicants must:
hold a Master´s degree (formerly called DEA) or an equivalent degree from their home country.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

The gross monthly stipend for fellows is 1,757.00 Euros
The selection process is general, without quotas reserved for particular countries. Priority is given to candidates from francophone developing countries where CNRS has signed a cooperative agreement and has established joint research projects.
Recipients of this fellowship will be hosted at an institution affiliated with CNRS (in CNRS-only or associated labs). Priority will be given to institutions which have developed research programs with research teams from developing countries in the ZSP.
PhD students can be supervized by a joint team of professors: French professors and professors from their native country (joint supervision). They can, depending on their research topic, carry out work both in France and in their native country. The professional goals of the applicants in their native country are taken into account during the selection process.
Applicant selection will be based on the same scientific standards as are applied to French applicants;
Applicants and labs are informed about the status of the application; The start date for the fellowships is November 1st;
Fellowships are for two years, renewable for an additional year when requested by the applicant and his lab director;
Renewal is not automatic, but a result of evaluation according to standard CNRS procedure; The request for renewal must be placed by June 30th;
