The Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematical Physics (ESI) is offering a number of Junior Research Fellowships for young researchers (PhD students and young post-docs) to participate in scientific activities of the Institute, to collaborate with visitors at the Institute or to work with individual members of the local scientific community.
Applications for shorter or longer periods may be considered in exceptional cases.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

The rates of support for the duration of the award will be set at the following levels:
Applicants from Austria: PhD Students EUR 1600/month, Post-Docs EUR 1900/month
Applicants from abroad: PhD Students EUR 1900/month, Post-Docs EUR 2200/month
Applications (including a CV, list of publications and an outline of proposed research) should be clearly marked `Junior Research Fellowship Application, February 2010´ and sent to the Administrative Office of the Institute by e-mail (secr@esi.ac.at), fax (+43-1-4277 28299) or mail (Administrative Office, Erwin Schrödinger Institute, Boltzmanngasse 9, A-1090 Vienna, Austria). Two letters of recommendation should either accompany the application or be sent separately to the Administrative Office of the Institute.
