Description
This scholarship is provided for studies at the "European University Cyprus" (EUC).
The MBA program is designed to prepare managers for today´s increasingly complex and multidimensional work environment. It includes a strong focus on leadership, teamwork and integrative management activities. MBA students are required to complete a total of 42 credits, with a thesis. Students without a business background will begin their studies with the foundation courses. Any of these courses may be waived on the basis of the student´s undergraduate coursework or previous graduate courses. Upon successful completion (or waiver) of the foundation courses, students proceed to the next level in the program: the core courses, the 2 electives and the research project. No waivers are permitted for the 36 credits of the Core Courses plus electives; however, transfer credit(s) towards the core courses and/or electives may be granted for graduate courses previously completed, subject to the transfer credit policies of the College.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To produce graduates who have the education and ability to assume leadership roles and undertake responsibilities;
- To ensure a learning experience which will provide students with the necessary academic and professional know-how to become a key player in any sector of the business community;
- To introduce students to theories of business behavior and the relation of an organization to its internal and external environment as well as to management skills such as the ability to make decisions, analyze and solve business problems and communicate effectively;
- To provide an overall view of the management of an enterprise in a complex and changing environment.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates to apply for the scholarships to study at the EUC Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme are citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova and Pakistan.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Application information
In order to submit an application for scholarship, the applicant must fill-in the relevant application form for the respective University programme.
The applicant may then submit his/her application along with the endorsement form at a Competent Consular Authority of the Republic of Cyprus of their choice, not later than the deadline shown above for each University.
In order to expedite the process, it is strongly recommended that the applicant forwards a copy of the application form and a copy of the duly completed and stamped endorsement form to the Academic Institute organizing the program, as soon as he/she attains these documents. The originals should be submitted or sent to the Competent Consular Authority of the Republic of Cyprus, before the deadline (as instructed above). Special provisions for Pakistani and Armenian applicants:
- It is noted that the application forms of Pakistani applicants will be short listed by the Higher Education Commission and subsequently endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in Islamabad. This means that the first point of contact for Pakistani applicants is the Higher Education Commission.
- Candidates from Armenia should obtain an endorsement of their application through the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
Important notes concerning the award of scholarships:
- Candidates who have received a scholarship of either short or long duration by the Republic of Cyprus within the last two (2) years 2008 or 2009 are NOT eligible to apply for these scholarships.
- Eligible candidates must be permanent residents of their country of citizenship.
- All scholarships are offered officially by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus to other Governments on a bilateral basis as official technical assistance and not to individuals. Therefore, it is expected that with the end of the scholarship, the scholarship recipients will return to their country of citizenship so that the recipient country is benefited to the highest possible degree by the transfer of know-how and not just the individual receiving the scholarshsip.
- For the scholarship to be awarded it is necessary for the candidate to accept the Terms and Conditions of the scholarship.
