Description

To operate a high quality practical training exchange programme between members in order to enhance technical and professional development and to promote international understanding and goodwill amongst students, academic institutions, employers and the wider community.

You can obtain paid practical experience in your field, make professional contacts - the building blocks of tomorrow's world - and participate in organised leisure time activities and excursions with IAESTE all over the world, while you are supported with practical arrangements (i.e. work permits, visas and accommodation).

You can also obtain up to date technical knowledge and improve your language, social and communication skills.

Make new friends and become acquainted with a different culture. Enjoy living and working in another country.

Eligibility

  • You must be between the ages of 19 and 30.
  • You must speak very good English. While most positions only require English, foreign language skills are preferred.
  • You must apply through IAESTE in your home country*

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Application information

  • You must apply through IAESTE in your home country.
  • Each IAESTE country has its own application deadlines but they are normally within the IAESTE Exchange calendar.
  • Please note that you will only be able to apply for specific traineeships which your country has available. You will generally not be able to specify your preferred destination or Employer.
  • Please do not send CVs to either IAESTE International or to your National Office unless you are asked to do so.

Participation in the IAESTE exchange is open to bona fide students attending courses at Universities, Institutes of Technology and similar Institutions of Higher Education in the Study fields IAESTE covers.
