Description
CEEPUS' offers undergraduate students, graduates and researchers various scholarships within the country members of CEEPUS. CEEPUS' main objectives are to contribute to merging the European Higher Education Area and European Research Area, use regional academic mobility as a strategic tool to implement Bologna objectives and to enable cooperation with SEE, the Ukraine and Moldavia.
Participating countries en regions are Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, (FYROM) Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Eligibility
- Grants are only awarded the best students of many qualified candidates
- The chosen candidates are not allowed to engage in a gainful employment next besides their academic duties
- Needs to be a citizen of a CEEPUS country
- The scholar has to be present on-site and to pursue the research projects and studies as indicated in the application.
- Student applicants should submit a proof of full-time student status
- Proof of "equal status" should be required
- Students should be required to apply to the National CEEPUS Offices in the country where they hold full-time student status
- Double citizenship: applicants should be required to decide on the status used when first lodging their application and use it throughout the procedure\
- Teachers applying for a CEEPUS grant should be employed full-time by a university and included in a CEEPUS activity
Duration
1-10 months, undergraduate students have to stay at least for 3 months

Additional information
- It is legitimate to apply for several programmes - seperate application forms have to be submitted for each application.
- Students on financial aid (which is awareded in accordance with social needs and in compliance with the law on financial aid for students) have a legal claim to an increased allowance for the academic exchange.
- Unless stated differently, the grants support one individual person - the grants do not take accompanying dependants into account.
- The costs for medical care abroad withtin the EU are offset by the respective national social security institutions. Doing an academic exchange within the EU, the candidates should take a EU Social Security Card with them.
- The applicants are aware that, in accordance with the Austrian federal law on data protection BGBl.Nr. 165/1999, the personal data in the application can be sharded with the office in charge of the exchange programme, the partner institutions and other Austrian institutions granting financial support. The applicants agree to this process.
- Incomplete and delayed applications cannot be taken into account.
- Grants have to be consumed within the period of time agreed upon.
- Based on an application to the rector, Austrian students can be suspended from the tuition fee if they complete their studies or internships within the course of transnational, EU, national or academic mobility programmes abroad.
Network grants and Free-Mover grants (contingent on availability) for studies and research projects (diploma theses / dissertations), intensive courses, summer colleges and excursions as well as teaching grants for professors. - No double grants shall be allowed (i.e. simultaneously receiving two grants in the host country).
Current member countries: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia. Prishtina/Kosovo is also participating.
