Die deutsche Sektion der Deutsch-Tschechischen und Deutsch-Slowakischen Historikerkommission vergibt aus Mitteln des DAAD Reisekostenstipendien an junge Wissenschaftler (Höchstalter 35 Jahre) für Forschungsaufenthalte von bis zu zwei Monaten. Diese Stipendien sollen Studien in Archiven und Bibliotheken ermöglichen, die für Qualifikationsarbeiten (Diplom-, Magister-/Master- und Doktorarbeiten) und für wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zu Themen der tschechischen und slowakischen Geschichte sowie der deutsch-tschechisch-slowakischen Beziehungen erforderlich sind.
Anträge sollen auf etwa drei Seiten die Ziele und Methoden des Forschungsvorhabens beschreiben und die Notwendigkeit der Arbeit in dem gewählten Archiv oder der gewählten Bibliothek begründen.
Young researchers who need to study in archives and libraries for their Magister and doctoral theses or their scientific essays. The age limit is 35 years.

Applicants must be just about to graduate or must be writing their doctoral thesis.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

The assistance is made up of a scholarship of 750 euros, a flat-rate subsidy for copying costs of 125 euros, plus reimbursement of the costs for a 2nd class rail ticket.
Application Papers
Applications should be around three pages long and describe the goals and methods of the research project and explain the need for working in the chosen archive or library. Once the scholarship holders have completed their study stay, the Historians Commission expects them to submit a report on the results of these studies (around 2 pages).
While German applicants contact the Collegium Carolinum in Munich, Czech applicants should send their application and questions to the adjacent address in Prague.
