Description

The programme aims to fund doctorates, masters, graduate studies, research stays and specialisations in medicine in Germany. The doctoral, master and graduate scholarships are open to all subject areas.

Duration

* 4 years for full doctorates in Germany * 12 to 24 months for sandwich doctorates * up to 10 months for research stays by PhD students * 2 years for master studies * up to 12 months for graduate studies * up to 2 years for research stays for post-docs * up to 3 years for specialisations in medicine of the public sector

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test. More information

Benefits

  1. Payments by BecasChile:
    • Monthly scholarship of US$ 1.562,-
    • Single initial allowance of US$ 500.-
    • Monthly support for spouses of US$ 156,-
    • Monthly support for each child under 18 years of US$ 78,-
    • Annually support for books and materials of US$ 300,-
  2. Payments by the DAAD:
    • Health, Accident and Personal Liability Insurance
    • Travel subsidy
    • Monthly support for each child under 18 years of 100,- Euros
    • Annually study and research subsidy
    • German language courses of 2 to 6 months for the scholarship holder
    • German language courses for spouses
