Description

In January 2012 RNTC launched the RNTC Fellowship Fund to support journalists from around the world who are looking to develop their journalistic skills, but do not have enough financial means to support themselves. The number of fellowships that RNTC can provide, however, is small.

Eligibility

Criteria RNTC Scholarships:

Partial scholarships are available for professional journalists coming from low-middle- income countries according to the World Bank criteria: Angola, Armenia, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt Arab Rep., El Salvador India, Fed. Sts. Tonga, Fiji, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guyana, Indonesia , Iraq, Kiribati, Kosovo, Lao, Lesotho , Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, PDR Sudan, Philippines, Rep. Honduras, Rep. Timor-Leste, Samoa, São Tomé and Principe, Senegal, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Swaziland , Syrian Arab Republic, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vietnam, West Bank and Gaza, Yemen, Zambia.

  • Letter of motivation (150-200 words), explaining why they think they qualify for one of these scholarships
  • Completed registration form
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Proof of proficiency in English
  • A statement from a sponsor or a bank demonstrating your ability to cover the rest of the costs associated with the course

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test. More information

Benefits

The RNTC Fellowships are partial fellowships and cover up to a maximum of 35% of the course fee

Application information

Scholarship applications will have to be sent in together with the course application form and will be reviewed by a panel of professionals from RNTC, on a first come first served basis. The decision will be non-negotiable.
