Central European University

Central European University (CEU) is an internationally recognized US-degree granting institution of graduate education in the social sciences and the humanities. CEU serves as an advanced center of research and policy analysis and facilitates academic dialogue, while preparing its graduates to serve as the next generation of leaders and scholars in this region and beyond. Through its active recruitment team CEU attracts more and more young people to consider this university as a feasible opportunity to continue their education at a graduate level.

CEU is an international university in the truest sense: Its students come from almost 100 countries, the majority from Central and Eastern Europe and Russia; its faculty, from more than 30 countries--with the mix of nationalities increasing every year.

In order to attract outstanding individuals, irrespective of their financial situation, CEU offers merit based scholarships supporting the majority of our students during their studies. In addition, the university administers a number of externally funded scholarships. Students may apply for funding from the International Visegrad Fund, or take advantage of scholarships from the Hungarian State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary, the European Commission or private donors and organizations.
